The set was ordered by a young Zagreb-based couple, both born and raised on a beautiful Adriatic island. It was a collaboration both sides enjoyed.

It's one of those lazy days. Slow. Slightly melancholic. Fall is here although the weather is still warm. Silently, you're getting ready for the winter. Instinctively. The light changes. It's almost blue. 

I wanted to indulge into the basic characteristic of the porcelain - home to its beauty, gentility, gracefulness, stylishness, power and fragility. The whiteness.

It all started a few months ago when a family stopped by my shop inquiring about custom-made dinnerware sets. It took us a moment to click and there I was some time later drinking coffee in their dinning room talking about the design for this special 8-person dinnerware set. 

Wonderful collaboration with a new creative friend and finally set for a very special moment, Sunday mornings for two.

How much would you wait to tell the Big News?

I've felt the need to visually tell a bit different story about porcelain I make. To use the quality of porcelain and translate it to its core characteristics - femininity, sophistication and boldness with a touch of crazy.

Who else should meet but porcelain and Japanese cuisine.

I've come out of this process wiser and more experienced in the process of designing and handcrafting tableware for a restaurant. I've learnt much about patience when you open a kiln with destroyed pieces and when you have to throw away hours and hours of your work because the glaze was not right;
